Biological Rescue in a Monocular Patient with Sjögren’s
We recently treated a 44-year-old female with Sjögren’s_Syndrome presenting a paracentral pre-perforation. By utilizing a PRF_Graft fixed with belt_sutures, we achieved: ✅ Effective tectonic support without central corneal deformation. ✅ Remarkable thickness recovery in just 7 days (as seen on the SS-AS-OCT). ✅ Immediate elimination of perforation risk.
The comparison between the pre-op and 9-day post-op AS-OCT demonstrates the rapid regenerative potential of PRF in complex ocular surface cases.
A special thanks to Hovsepyan Asatur for this innovative belt suture approach. It is a masterful technique that allows for tectonic stability without compromising central corneal regularity.
